Terms and Conditions of the Laundry Service

1. Commencement of agreement.  The hire Agreement is only in force when it has been signed by you (the hirer) or a representative of the hirer.
2. Definitions.  'Equipment' means the nappies and bins hired to you. 'Service Fee' means the periodic charge set and published by The Scottish Nappy Company for the hire of equipment and collection, laundering and delivery of nappies to you. 'Registration Fee' means the charge set and published by The Scottish Nappy Company for the administration and material costs involved in setting up the Agreement. The Registration Fee is non-refundable.
3. Period of hire.  Hiring of equipment shall commence on the date of delivery of equipment by The Scottish Nappy Company for a minimum period of one calendar month unless otherwise agreed before the start of the Agreement.
4. Ownership of Equipment.  All equipment remains the property of The Scottish Nappy Company. You may not sell, dispose of, or part with equipment on hire. (The Scottish Nappy Company reserves the right to inspect the equipment at any time during working hours.)
5. Use and Care of Hired Equipment.  You may only use the equipment for the purpose for which it was intended within the meaning of the Agreement. You may not make any material alterations or additions to the equipment.
6. Insurance.  With effect from the date of delivery, the equipment is deemed to be covered by your own household insurance policy. In the event of loss of or damage to the equipment while in your possession, The Scottish Nappy Company reserve the right to claim the full cost of the equipment from you.
7. Default of Payments.  You will pay The Scottish Nappy Company all costs and expenses, including any legal costs incurred in obtaining payment of any amount payable under this Agreement, tracing your address or the equipment, in applying the provision set out in clause 10 of this Agreement or in restoring the equipment to good working order and condition.
8. Notification.  You are required to notify The Scottish Nappy Company as soon as possible of any circumstances likely to affect the service.
9. Variations.  The Scottish Nappy Company reserves the right to review our prices and you will receive written notification of any changes at least one calendar month before their effective date. The Scottish Nappy Company may vary the equipment under the provisions of this Agreement.
10. The Scottish Nappy Company's Right to End the Agreement.  You will be deemed to have repudiated this Agreement and The Scottish Nappy Company may end this Agreement and take back the equipment after giving you written notice if:
    1. You fail to pay any of the Service Fees for more than one calendar month, noting clause 7 of this Agreement; or
    2. You commit a breach of any of clauses 4, 5, 6, 7 or 8 of this Agreement. If The Scottish Nappy Company ends this Agreement you must pay in full any arrears of Service Fees.
11. Your Right To End the Agreement.  You may end this Agreement at any time by giving The Scottish Nappy Company one month's written notice. Service Fees continue to apply during this period of notice.
12. Your Acknowledgment and Indemnity.  You will be deemed to have accepted the equipment and to have acknowledged that they are in good working order and in all respects satisfactory for the purpose for which they have been hired unless you notify The Scottish Nappy Company otherwise in writing within seven days of their delivery. You agree to indemnify The Scottish Nappy Company against all claims, damages, loss, costs and expenses including full legal costs in connection with your possession or use of the equipment except for injury or death caused by The Scottish Nappy Company's negligence.

Communication to you from The Scottish Nappy Company will be sent to your email address as supplied when you register. If you do not receive a confirmation email after registering or placing an order please contact us immediately. The Scottish Nappy Company will not be responsible if you should fail to receive emails sent to the email address you provide when you register.

You undertake not to use the website in any way that causes, or is likely to cause the site or access to the site to be interrupted, damaged, or impaired in any way. You must not use the site for any purpose that could damage the name of The Scottish Nappy Company or any goodwill attached to same. You must not use the website for criminal, fraudulent or illegal activity (including breaches of copyright, trademarks, patents and/or privacy) or in any manner which would cause harm or distress to any third party.

These conditions do not affect your statutory rights.

All prices throughout the website are inclusive of VAT.
